Met calorie goal.
Rode bike 17 minutes.
Walked with Binky-puppy 35 minutes.
Stretching 20 minutes (as of 6:50 pm) but plan to stretch another 25 minutes later.
My pain level hasn't gone higher than a "3" all week. Sometimes I feel so good I'm almost walking like a normal person. My hip has "caught funny" half a dozen times with a sudden pain this week because I'm getting used to moving around, but the pain goes away after a minute or two. 6 weeks ago I would have had to sit down for 10 minutes.
Binky-puppy is loving life. I've only had her 6 months. I've always played tugging games with her and she learned how to play fetch immediately. My roomie and I both took her for walks, but short ones (he has had surgery in both knees). He still walks her, but I feel like we can really stretch our legs now. I can almost pick her up without bending my knees (a stretch I've done for 2 months now). She is only 8 1/2 months old and has so much energy. I love it and love trying to keep up with her.
Thanks for your support. I love keeping track of stuff here on FS, but the kind words are over the top!
Onward, friends!

Met calorie goal.
Stretching goal.
30 minute walk (resting from bike today).
Can stand on one leg....on my BAD HIP AND LEG...and bear weight. Working on modified lunges (one foot 1 1/2 feet high on a surface, lunge...then change legs). Hoping I can go up stairs one foot at a time...my goal is 6 weeks. Right now my bad leg/hip can't support my weight on stairs. Hoping these stretches and lunges will help.

I have to weigh at the clinic Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and don't change it on FS until Mondays. Well, my weight today was the same as Monday.
I'm actually not upset by it. I could totally feel sore in my thighs when I woke up today (so much of the PT is legwork). I can almost feel my muscles getting stronger!
To celebrate, I stretched for over an hour today (divided up) and rode the bike again for 15 minutes!
When you can't do much because of a disability you find that you miss things like bikes or going for walks. I feel like this is a new lease on life.

Today was a breakthrough of epic proportions!
Had PT this morning and did 6 minutes on the stationary bike (a first). Then I got some harder exercises from the PT. Came home and had tummy problems all day...even had to take Immodium. Still wanted to get on the stationary bike here at home (my roomie's).
Therapist said to try 5-15 minute intervals to start, then see how I feel.
Did the stationary bike here at home for 15 minutes!!!
Two weeks ago that wouldn't be possible. Granted, I was going about zero miles per hour it was so SLOW. But I did it!
Hoping for better things!!!
Onward, friends!
