Continued sticking to diet with a small alcohol exception that will not repeat for the rest of the week. Managed to get out of bed early enough to complete my yoga routine and do 15 burpees (squat, jump feet back to do push up, jump feet back to hands, stand, and jump). Had leftovers for breakfast and now drinking Good Earth tea - so tasty.

With the exception of a few diet hiccups, I'm strolling along. I decided to lower the fat in my diet. I'm realizing that I'm adding too much margarine and vegenaise to my food. I'm following Dr. Shintani's book "Eat More, Weigh Less" which lists foods that give you more bulk on less calories which is primarily fruits, vegetables, and whole grains. It's a handy book if you want to be able to eat a lot without gaining weight.

Didn't get up to work out this morning since I didn't sleep well. This is not a good excuse since I did so much self-talk this am and I convinced myself that I deserved the sleep rather deserving the energy boost that morning workouts give me. The great thing is that I'm recognizing this behavior and I must go back to getting up at the sound of the alarm before the self-talk begins.
As for the "Mary's Mini", I stuck to it most of the week. By Friday, I was off it since I was tempted by some treats. By Sunday, I was renewed again (movies on Sat led to more binging). I'm still sticking to the principles of the diet but not beating myself up over straying.

So happy I got up early enough to finish my yoga routine. No change in weight but I'm realizing some small adjustments I must make to see some downward movement on the scale. I want to drop 20 lbs but I don't want to white knuckle my way through it. Sticking to a mostly vegan diet seems to be working for me but I know there are some things I'm doing that's sabotaging my success. I've been drinking more soft drinks lately and I've been eating too fast. If I get back into eating more mindfully, then I think I'll finally see progress again.

Managed to get up early today to do a challenging yoga workout. Midway through it, I was relieved that I got up early enough to finish the routine. I had a yummy smoothie with bananas, berries, and soy milk. I feel energetic so I'm looking forward to continuing this routine.
