I managed to hold my Christmas cookie extravaganza today....making over 100 cookies and only tasted 1/2 a cookie of the four kinds....YEAH ME!

Well damn me...and pardon my language but leave it to me to injure my chest wall during exercise...I did not even know that was possible....This is going to hinder my progress this week...

It is amazing how quickly we can adjust our lifestyles. At dinner today I totally would have had several large spoonfuls of potato salad and had about and eighth of a cup and was more than happy with that. I automatically am reaching for fruit as a snack instead of scrounging through the cabinets. I get thirsty and my first reach is for water...I LOVE IT! It helps me to stick to my feelings of "I can do it this time"! Portion sizes are coming more automatically and healthier options are becoming obvious. The best part is when I want something I have it...in moderation... and I am 99% of the time under my RDI without trying too hard. It is awesome to be doing this the "right" way for me...No fad diet...no starvation feelings..Just good choices!

If only I had skipped dessert and the appetizer...darn me for giving in to temptation...dessert sampler really....and you had to try everything...Its ok though...I still had a deficit overall, maybe my body needed that little treat. I have been working it so hard! My gym buddy and I have personal training session on Monday so I will just tell her I need to have my butt kicked a little harder.

Slightly discouraged but after talking to the hubby feeling a little better. I am looking at my diet calendar and I generally have a net calorie count of negative 1000 or more (up to 2700 negative). With that I should be losing two pounds a week but I am not seeing that result. I am constantly down about a pound. I noticed a slight pattern. It seems I am down a pound three weeks in a row and then get a larger loss. I am working out 5 days a week most weeks, am I building muscle that quickly that it is counteracting my loss on the scale? Hubby says the inches are coming off so there is fat leaving my body....Any ideas? More water? Eating too few calories? Ugh....I am sticking with it because I am seeing results...just would like to know why the math isnt working out.
