Good morning friends! I woke up this morning feeling like my head is in the keto game! I am tired of carbing it up. My body is craving meat and veggies. Today is day 1. I haven't weighed myself today. I'll do it Monday, but I'm ready today! I have to journal my food to keep myself accountable. Thank you all for allowing me to share this space with you. It's been a long time since I've posted anything. I haven't been able to get my head in the game since vacation. So since April, I've half heartedly been keto. I got blood work done a few weeks ago, and I got a call from the doctor's office saying she wanted to see me. Oh boy! I reluctantly kept the appointment, put my big girl panties on and dealt with it. So I say to the doc "did you bring me in here to yell at me?" She says "let me look at your labs, and I'll let you know..." Just a little back story....when I initially asked what she thought/felt about keto she gave me this whole song and dance on how it's not sustainable and your body needs carbs. I already knew I did not have her blessing. Yesterday, she looks at my labs and tells me, my fasting A1C was 5.8! The lowest its EVER been!! She says "the issue wasn't IF you would go on meds, but WHEN." At this point she's SUPER happy, until I tell her I was keto. Instant disappointment. I say "I eat meat and I eat vegetables. That's where my carbs come from. Veggies!" She says "oh! then keep up the good work!" I am also 22lbsess than what I weighed in December! I will be back to keto in a few days! I had to share that news with you all! Have a great night!

Good morning friends! Not a great week food wise. You definitely have to be in a good headspace when doing keto. Trying to get my head in the game. I can tell when I'm not eating properly, my rings don't fit, my clothes get a little snug. Not a good feeling! Starting the day off with full fat Greek yogurt and some cantelope. What do you struggle with? I know I am not the only one! Have a great week!
