I didn't always used to be a bright ray of sunshine. I used to be fairly negative, very impatient, and a little angry. I've had some things happen to me that no one should have to deal with. I've lost people close to me, not in a dying way, but in a way that they hurt me so badly I had hoped they would die. There were times I couldn't get out of bed, and when I could there were times I couldn't get out of the shower.

One day I decided that this was no way to live. Staying in my one bedroom apartment eating, and sleeping all the time was neither healthy nor the way I wanted to live. I wasn't living up to my potential. So I decided to change. I KNOW for a fact that I am destined for greatness and I had to give up the things that people had done to hurt me, I had to give up toxic people, I had to give up feeling sorry for myself. I had to move on. I had to literally give up the person I was to move forward and be the person that I knew I could be.

I am finally almost there! I try to stay up beat and positive. I look for the good in people (this sometimes hurts me more than helps but I'm determined to no longer think that everyone is going to hurt me), I have fun, I make a fool out of myself =) I act silly and I don't care what anyone thinks! I'm not the same girl I was a year ago let alone 5 years ago! I had to slowly give up pieces of myself to be the person I was truely meant to be.

I don't tell you all this story because I want sympathy, infact just the opposite. I hope that this story helps you to realize that sometimes you have to give up pieces of yourself, pieces they may have been apart of you forever, to be the person you were meant to be. We all have the potential to be successful in all that we do, to be happy, to have fun, and to be healthy.

If you wanna fly, you gotta get rid of the shit that weighs you down. =)
