I am holding steady with the hopes of weighing in tomorrow and it being reflective of my hard work for the last couple of days. I went for a very lovely 50 minute walk yesterday and did not stray from my planned menu. I have a luncheon today but will say no to wine. NO wine until Saturday night is my goal. I have a good goal now, too. Booked 10 days in Cabo next April, so now I will have a pinpoint to look at. I just need to get my ass in gear to work out with weights, but I'm working up to it.

Okay, well I suck today. Did not go for a run last night, and I am up a pound, which I won't record cause I'm pissed off. I went to the gym last night, couldn't find a parking spot, so I let myself off the hook. And of course, what always happens when I do that, is I feel crappy the next day for not working out. Although I did make an awesome dinner of Sole and Asparagus and I made a big batch of the Moroccan Stew...which smells and tastes amazing, so must give it top points. Still...my modivation for working out is at an all time low. And I know this always happens for the first 3 weeks after I run a half marathon, but I was really determined to only give myself two weeks off. Maybe what I will do is just go for walks, because that is so nice and relaxing and build back up to training mode. Argggggg. Thanks for letting me moan.....no funny bits today. Just whiney....and grumpy. Very grumpy. So someone make me laugh or smile....I need a hug.

The King and I went for a very nice long 40 minute walk last that night that involved several hills. VG And while he had a glass of wine with dinner, I said no. So over all yesterday was a great day, with no bumps whatsoever. I will repeat again today, with a trip to the gym to do a 30 minute run on the treadmill.
I find that the shorter days make me want to eat potatoes, so I went and bought extra sweet potatoes, which I actually like better....its the sweet I am sure of it. I'm thinking I need to make a big pot of soup for days that I don't feel like cooking. I find Campbell's et al to be unsatisfying probably because they taste, to me, so unhomemade. My favourite is homemade carrot and ginger soup, although I would imagine that the amount of carrot is not good for the SBD. I shall crack open one of the way too many cookbooks that I have and pick something that is both satisfying and fun to make.

HOLY BLOW OUT WEEKEND, Batman!! Aw well, I don't think its as bad as I'm making it out to be. Problem #1 is doing social activities where I have zero input regarding the food. So I make the best of a bad situation. Just Say No to Nachos...but ate chicken wings, which having done WW I know are crazy high points (4 points per wing). But I didn't have any beer, just wine. And I didn't have any wheat, just deep fried crap, I mean wings and such. NO VEGGIES to be seen. Oh wait there was the mushroom caps drowning in something that resembled creamcheese...Sunday I made a very SBD friendly stew with sweet potatoes instead of potatoes. VVG. And dispite my King demanding Dairy Queen immediately if not sooner, I disuaded him with a cup of tea and he could eat crackers with Peanut butter without me giving him the hairy eyeball....still was grumbling but the peanut butter prevented the mouth from actually forming words....whose laughing now big boy?

Who moved my cheese?
Its absolutely fascinating that when you are somewhat limited on what you can and cannot eat, how people in the household will tuck into your stash. Particularly cheese sticks. I come home from an exhaustive day of saving lives (okay, well, maybe not lives as in doctor, but I'm a Commercial Property Manager and when people are too hot or too cold in their office....lives hang in the balance) I look forward to my low fat cheese stick. Is it too much to ask for people to leave my bloody cheese sticks alone? Unfortunately, the people that this is directed to, do not belong to fatsecret, because they don't give a rat's ass about their weight. He is King, he has his Queen....he's all good. My King for a Cheesestick, is what I say.
