I'm going to try and weigh-in in the morning. I don't have a scale Andhave to use the one at work. I'm sticking to low carbs, no sugars. Getting use to no sugary in my coffee...next step is no creamer. My stomach was messed up today. But I feel good! Yesterday I had a sugar low, my first one in a very long time. I don't know what the number was, but I was jitter-bugging pretty good. I was fixing to eat dinner, so I didn't worry too much about it. But it took a while to get rid of the shakes ( that's what I call the jitter-bugs). I received my sample of truvision, thought I'd give it a try, but having second thoughts. Anyone have anything to say about it? I don't know anyone who is using it

been busy trying to stick to no sugary anything!! I noticed today that I didn't sweat!! This may not seem like a big deal to most, but those of us that sweat like crazy...this is a huge deal. I'm on hormone therapy and my doctor said that it could cause night sweats, and I do!! But I sweat so bad that my clothes and hair look like I showered with my clothes on...lol. Hot flashes lasting hours not just minutes, that the way it seemed anyways. But today...no sweat!!! I'm excited about this...really. Prayerfully this will be my new normal.

Yesterday was another possitive day. I attended a Leaders meeting at church, where they provide dinner. Hamburgers, brauts, fried potatoes with bacon, small peas, sauteed peppers and onions. I ate 2 brauts, a small portion each of the potaoes, peas, and peppers n onions. There was very nice looking desserts too. I ate no sweets at all. I didn't go back for seconds. It was difficult though because everyone talked about how delicious the desserts were. I felt taunted, but I kept thinking about the bible verse that says...to not indulge in things (paraphrased). I know that stuff is not good for me, so it is up to me to be strong and not eat it. I have to control my appetite, not some pill or someone else. The only "help" I need is God and the encouraging words of others.
I get home to find that my mother had bought a huge cake!! Really?? I just walked past it, I didn't indulge!! I get up this morning and went to heat up a cup of coffee. Open the microwave and there sat that cake!!! I actually had to touch it...lol. I'm still rocking it. My mom starts heading out the door and says, don't look in the microwave!! Too late, I had a conversation with that cake, told it that it's not going to tempt me and I won't eat it...we've come to an understanding, lol. Today is going to be a great day!!!

Today was totally a struggle! I craved those sugars like crazy, but I didn't indulge! VICTORY! I did better today with all categories, but still need to get better control of the actual table sugar. In my coffee, in cereal (I don't add sugar in the cereal, it's in there). I used to drink my coffee without sugar, will be going back to that. I hurt my foot this morning, couldn't it to stop bleeding for hours! I'm on blood thinners, it wasn't gushing by no means but had to change the bandages several times. it really only bled when I stood up, so I elevated and stayed off of it. it's much better now, no more bleeding. Other than that I've had a pretty good day! Sugary sweets are still here...I'm at work, caregiver, and it's in my employers house. So I can't throw them out. But I can stay away from them, I've proved that for two days now. I'm feeling good, stayed busy with reading to the person I work with. It was a great day to be sure!!

I thought it turned out pretty good. Cooked 2 chicken breasts in about 2 tbs butter, served with stew vegetables over cooked shredded cabbage. Hit the spot. in my old age lol, I'm learning to cook instead of eating out of a box!!
