I read an article today about the myth of willpower. People who best demonstrate acts of willpower are people who never have to use it. Why bother with the internal debate about how much ice cream to eat? Don't buy it. Don't bring it home. You can't be tormented over one scoop or two when the nearest container of ice cream is miles away (assuming you're unwilling to knock on a neighbor's door in search of it).
