Well, the holidays are now behind us and I have gotten off track a little. My original goal was to lose 40 pounds by Thanksgiving and 50 pounds by Christmas. Well, I didn't quite make it, but I didn't really gain either, so that's not too bad. I have bounced a pound or two back and forth, but for the most part I am still at the same weight I was before Thanksgiving. Now it is time to get off my duff and get back on track.
Our Pastor has taught us that happiness depends on something happening to you, but that joy is a gift from the Lord and that no one can take that from you. So to all my FS friends as we bring in the new year, let my wish to you be not only that you would have a Happy New Year, but also Joyful one.
Oh and of course let me not forget we will all have a Healthy New Year too.

I delivered my own granddaughter this morning at 10:30 am in the back of an ambulance. It made for the best and most excited day EVER!!! I have always wanted to be able to deliver one of my grandchildren, but never thought I would actually get the opportunity to do so since it would be too much of a liability issue for a hospital or doctor. This was not planned. I just lived too far away from my daughter in law to get there in time and we had her call 911. Even then we thought that we would all be able to make it to the hospital in time in the ambulance, but it was not to be. Cassie Elizabeth Hembree decided she was not waiting any longer. I yelled, "I'm a nurse, please give me some gloves." The paramedic said "What size?" and in a matter of just a few minutes and only one push, my granddaughter was born. She weighs 5 pounds 11 oz and is 19 3/4 inches long. And of course she is beautiful!!! Mom (Shannon) and baby Cassie are doing great. Cassie did have to be taken to the NICU because she was having trouble staying warm, but if you had been naked and wet in the back of an ambulance in December, you would have trouble getting warm too!
I am definitely one blessed Grandma!
