Hi, I'm Valerie. I have four beautiful children, 25, 23, 20, and 17, and one gorgeous grandson, 17 months!
I was slim all through my childhood. When I married and went on the "pill" I gained weight and with every pregnancy I retained more and more weight. Since my last pregnancy I have added another 65 pounds.
I hate the way I look and have had enough. I am fairly active but have a very slow metabolism. I intend to change all of that.
I joined WW in April of 2005 and lost 21 lbs until my eldest daughter married and I got so busy that I stopped watching what I ate and gained it all back, plus 10.
I have since then tried doing the plan without attending meetings, for financial reasons, but it just doesn't work for me. I need the encouragement and accountability of those weekly meetings. So, I joined a WW @ Work group this week. I actually have lost about 6 pounds in the last 2 weeks just doing it on my own and walking a little.
I would love to chat with anyone about my size or age who is also doing WW.
