Body not feeling too good today! Thought it would be a good idea to work out yesterday totally with my hubby with weights. It was his weight day so I did his whole routine (with lower weights of course!) I am talking squats, deadlift, overhead press, bench press, bicep curls, shoulder shrugs, tricep press, lat pull downs....5 sets of each with 5 reps each time. It was a GREAT workout. I pushed myself harder than ever and felt so good! This was an hour and 40 minute workout on weights alone! I usually spend about 15 minutes.....maybe! BUT, today I can hardly walk!! BUT, I did somehow manage to make it to the gym and complete W8D1 of my couch to 5k! I ran 28 minutes straight today! I am so proud of myself!! I don't know how I was able to run this morning, but I did it! Today was also weigh in day and I lost 2 more pounds!! Super proud of my week!! Here's to next week!!! OH and also today I am NO LONGER OBESE!!!! And I never will be again!! According to my BMI today, I am now overweight!! LOL, I have never been so happy to be overweight!!! Now on the journey NORMAL!!!

Wow! What a workout! Make sure you give yourself some tender loving care to recover... if you're hurting, you might take some advil to keep inflammation from flaring up, or maybe ice things up to help repair things. It's possible to have little tiny micro-tears in muscles, tendons and such, and if you don't take care of those, you risk making them worse. That doesn't mean stop... just be wise and be careful. Part of that is doing weights every OTHER day, or dividing the weights across the body across the week: do upper body one day, lower body the next, and so on.

Oh yes, I definitely took a break from weights. I took 2 days off this time! I usually do weight every other day, never back to back. I totally didn't even think of ice! Thanks for that tip!
