Today was my cheat day. I felt like I really deserved it but I’m still slightly guilty. Anyway, my daily allowance is 1500 and I ate 1600 and gonna add cookies and milk that I’ve been craving later. Should I feel guilty for cheating? What’s your opinion?

IMO embrace the cheat day! Get back on the wagon tmr. No guilt allowed ever. It might even be beneficial to your metabolism, think about that. Enjoy your cookies and milk. :D

You shouldn't feel guilty. Why is it cheating if you allow yourself extra on a certain day? If it's part of your diet, you won't gain any weight! Enjoy it!

I don't think there is anything wrong in cheating on your diet once in awhile as long as you don't make a habit out of it.

if you’ve been in a restrictive diet, either by restricting foods or calories. Such as being in a caloric deficit the last few weeks. A “cheat day” will not harm you. Your body will benefit from being fed an excess of calories (which it was lacking) your mentality will be satisfied (joy from eating said foods) and stress levels (cortisol) may also be reduced. As long as you continue with your calorie deficit tomorrow and the subsequent days following, you’ll continue to lose fat just fine, and as a bonus, better since your body was “filled up” from this “cheat” day 👍🏻 So enjoy it and don’t worry

No. I normally bring my next few days in under my RDI to make allowance for a day I go over.🤷🏻‍♀️Then there is no muss, no fuss and it’s not a ‘cheat’ just part if your life and your Way Of Eating. And Edgar...add me to your followers! You requested the add, but you haven’t added back!🙋🏻

I take that back, you did reply and add the follow! Sorry! LOL 🙋🏻I’ve decided I’m no longer adding followers if they don’t let me follow them as well. 🤷🏻‍♀️Feels too much like being stalked. LOL I’d rather have friends and buddies!

@smprowett @deadpool12345 I would do that, but I feel like I’d get into a bad habit of doing that. Honestly, cheating today wasn’t so bad. I’m still losing 1 pound this week and that’s with diet alone I don’t watch how many calories I burn from working out and I don’t know how much I burn 🤷🏻‍♂️. I’m fine with today’s cheat day. I was worried Easter would come up and make me want to cheat but after the Wendy’s frosty I had i don’t wanna eat chocolate for a while 🤢. So stuffed I wanna throw up honestly. It was nice to see after dieting for a while I get fuller quicker, or maybe at least I notice I’m full quicker than before.

FYI if anyone was curious I ended up going with 2 1/2 chocolate chip cookies and a chocolate Wendy’s frosty. Superrrr stuffed I wanted to throw up. It was still great lol.

@gardenia.aa91 yeah every one or two months I’ve scheduled a cheat day. May 3rd is my next planned cheat day.

Once a cheat day is good for use helps so we don't feel deprived. best to make decadent sugar free indulgence like meringue chocolate chip cookies or chocolate pudding with cool whip sherbert with cool whip slow churned ice cream strawberrie smoothie great for smoothies is flavored ex tract don't forget to use protein powder in these. Good decadence.😏
