"In retrospect, we regret the things we didn’t do more than the things we did."

So my roommate and I were going to get up and work out this morning (we do a home workout video called "insanity", it's like P90X but with more cardio!) but instead she came into my room and laid on my bed and we just talked and laughed for a good hour. She won't be my roommate for too much longer (although hopefully she will be in my family, as she is my brother's girlfriend) so I don't regret not working out with out with her. I love the fact that she can come into my bed and we can giggle and be silly together.

Sometimes losing weight can be stressful. We need to find time to prepare meals, to exercise, to eat, to think about how many carbs we've eaten, to drink water, to log our food, to write journals, to respond to others journals with encouraging words, and not to mention the time we spend in the bathroom after we drink all of our water. All of this on top of working, or going to school, or raising kids, or trying to go out with our friends, or all of the above! It just gets sooooooo stressful and almost becomes an obsession within it's self! So I challenge you, this week, to do 3 things that are just for you that are NON-DIET related. Lay in your bed and giggle with your roommate or kids or significant other. Lay in the sun for an hour (do another hour for me as it's been gloomy and cloudy for the last few days here!). Drink some coffee while reading a book. Go to starbucks and people watch! I don't care what it is but DO SOMETHING that doesn't involve exercising, or counting carbs, or preparing the next 5 meals. Even if it does take time away from exercising or cooking.... IT WILL BE OKAY! If you do little things for yourself this will become more of a way of life and less of an obsession.

Anyway! I had a great weekend! I finally saw avitar! Soooo cool but I can't believe I actually sat for 3 hrs straight! I think my butt is STILL asleep! I didn't drink as much water as I normally do. My goal every day is 96 oz of water and I only drank about 64 oz each day.... but it's nothing to get into a tizzy about. I don't know if it's because i'm in ketosis or because I spent the whole weekend with a cute boy but I just have noooo appetite. Maybe a combo of both! I have stayed below my 20 carbs both days this weekend which is great but I was no where close to my RDI. Oh well... something to work toward this week!

I recorded my first weigh-in.... down 4.6 lbs my first week on induction! I know its water weight but i'm proud of myself (especially since I can't seem to give up ketchup... and i know its not allowed but I count it into my carbs for the day so whatever!) and it didn't seem like work! It's easy and i'm eating things that are filling and yummy! I've had no carb cravings and only made one MIM this last week!

Really, I couldn't be happier!!!! =)
