Day 3 of my week off. Haven't had a week off for a very long time, other than taking one week off last year for Christmas. I am enjoying it so much! It's so nice not having to race around or watch the clock. Still check in at work by checking my email and it's quiet so far. My boss had accused me of calling in to work to check on my staff, so she expects it. Sorry, but I'm not calling in on my days off. I only check if there is just one staff member in the building alone to see if they need anything. I just don't think it's good for one person to be alone for security purposes. I don't call if there's two or more staff in the building. They are adults and should be able to handle themselves. I was thinking of reminding them that we have special hours coming up on Saturday, but after the way I was treated, forget it. I'm busy using this week to practice being retired! Can't wait to finally get away from the "rat race" or out of the "snake pit."
