oh hon!! they shoulda told you what to do! Its so cute, I love it... is that a wrist? ok, you want to keep it moist w/ A&D (antibiotic ointment) twice a day should be fine. i don't know about wetting it or not, just wash it normal, soap is fine, you just don't want to over dry it? got that? lol and its important to keep it out of the sun (its healing like a sunburn if that makes sense) yes, scabs are normal DON'T PICK AT IT!! just aply the oinment so it heals beautifuly :) any other questions?

Mine was flakey too when I got it. Don't submerge it in water for like...a couple of days. Just keep washing it with lukewarm water and keep it covered up. No sun! Also, saw your pics on facebook. Tres cool!

I was told to use Aquaphor to keep it moist. Apply 2-3 times a day. Wash with Ivory soap. Don't pick, don't scratch. It will get itchy. Mine is big so it got REALLY itchy. It sucked. Lol. The skin will peel like a sunburn, don't pick at it, just let it be, and keep the ointment on it.

Aquaphor works (i bought it for dry skin and the lady asked is this for a tattoo -thats how i found out about it lol), A&D is cheap and helps since it fights infections -i think. oh yeah. i forgot about the itch. no one warns you the healing is worst than the tattoo -ha, i hope /0 is reading!!!

I was going to mention the Aquaphor. That surprises me they didn't give you any aftercare instructions, especially if this is your first tattoo. But yes the flaking is normal, don't pick at it or it could mess up the design. Keep it moist the first 2-3 days and then just put lotion on it (like Curel, unscented) until it's completely healed. And try to keep it out of the sun for a while. Otherwise it will fade sooner than you would like.

One of my friends has tats and he says antibacterial soap is the best. No rubbing alcohol or hydrogen pyroxide, just a gentle wash of antibacterial soap. Glad to hear your having a grand time!!!
