(This comment is in regards to your last entry). So I'm in maintenance mode right now, and originally I used weighing myself every morning as a maintenance tool. However since I started training for my next half marathon two weeks ago, I've actually stopped doing this. I noticed that I was gaining a bit of weight and I felt pretty discouraged. (My original goal weight was 138lbs, then I recently got down to 134lbs... since training I'm back to 138lbs). My boyfriend said he gained about 7lbs when he trained for his last marathon, and he's a very fit and slender guy. I think it is normal. I actually am starting to do a 'mirror-in' once a week on FS instead of a weigh-in. This way I can still hold myself accountable. I can truly say I feel and look slimmer NOW at 138 than I did weeks ago at 134! I eat between 1500-1700 calories a day, with an occasional 1900 day slipped in here and there. It is not possible for me to get fat eating like this and training for the race! Therefore I'm temporarily ditching the scale!

Thanks for the input dadams10! This is my 3rd half and the weight has crept up. I believe it is the combonation of water weight and gylcogen stores in the body, but I am almost neurotic about maintaining my weight. Most of my clothes do fit better, but some are snug around the thighs =). Good luck on your 1/2! Where is it btw?
