Woohoo! Record low @ 233.0
Last night I did my treadmill after work. I then got very busy working on my PC and music collection. I have been considering checking out lossless music. After realizing I was missing the classic Rush album Power Windows, I downloaded it in Flac format. After mucking with decoders and mucking with the PC for an hour, and getting into a heated arguement with an old friend online, I had them playing in Media Player. Yes, they are superior. Is it worth all the hassle? Not so much for my ears. I generally use high bit-rate MP3's, and they sound fine to me. I did a comparison of two songs I am very familiar with, and could not see much difference with my Klipsch headphones, or through my bose speakers. Yes, Flac sounded better, and there was something there, but not enough to justify ditching my huge collection and starting over.
I may actually re-rip the CD's that I own into aiff (m4a), or apples lossless format. Actually, scratch that, I have begun that project. Dusting off my old CD case, wow, how many of these classic CD's I dont have in my music library on itunes/ipod! Here, sit a while old friends.
So, I got up and went to the store for my weekly shopping. Spent a lot more than I would have liked. With wife gone, we are low on non-food nonsense like soap, and paper products.
I am planning on making a bean soup dish. But now I am having 2nd thoughts. It has bacon, ham, and ground meat in it. It looks like it would be a week-long leftover situation, and not of the healthy variety. I will see what I can do with it. Anyway I cooked up a LOT of bacon, and I need to do something with it. I am absolutely stuffed after breakfast today. It was way too much food. Once I dont feel like total crap, I may take a walk. Sadly, I have a lot of college work to do for my Writing 291 class.
