So decided to give mountain biking a try yesterday. Beautiful weather - almost 80 degrees and sunny, but the trails were saturated from rain earlier this week. Had a blast but really tore myself up - pulled a shoulder on one fall, quite a few bruises. But worth every bit. Someone hinted that since I was in my mid-40s and spent so many years out of shape, perhaps I should slow down a little. I suppose at some point I'll have to start acting my age. I just hope it's a nice service.
Food and exercise for February 1, 2012: Breakfast - Atkins shake Lunch - Steak sandwich, fries, and a beer Snack - beer Dinner - green chile stew, salad, greek yogurt Cesar salad dressing
Yeah, the beer and fries played havoc with my weight. Thought the mountain biking would burn those calories, but it didn't.
Exercise - Stretching and crunches, 2 mile run in the AM, 2 hours of mountain biking.
