still at 179lbs trying not to be starving and miserable pain clinic appt tomorrow and i will be fatter than when i last saw the consultant in november so i don't know if he'll do the procedure i need so i don't know if my back will improve so i dont know if ill lose my job (seeing occupational health on 9th feb) already on half pay for 3 months and as the breadwinner its getting harder telling my children that i dont have the money for what they need still waiting for physio {since october) physical activity will be hard today as my back and hips feel rubbish still on 800 cals trying really hard feeling disheartened, but if i give up then i'll only get bigger and more immobile keep telling myself that overeating will not help me in the long term, even if it cheers me up momentarily just generally fed up now :(

Chin up. Think positive thoughts.

I know you can do this. Positive thinking, I eat small every 2 hrs and write it down the night before what I will eat. It helps me stay on track.

You might find you have a sudden drop tomorrow, Poppy. Sorry you're feeling so down but it's understandable. Just get through today and see what they say at the pain clinic tomorrow. Big hugs.

What if you upped your fat and lowered your carbs? I know for ME if I were to have skim milk, raisins, yogurt, and apple juice for breakfast I would be hungry. Hunger derails me, hunger makes me binge, hunger sucks....

I hope it all goes well with the consultant. Regarding being on half pay, have you checked if you're entitled to any additional benefits? Also, I don't know how old your kids are but if they're having to help you more than what would be considered normal kids' chores, they may be classed as "young carers". I get the impression you're very independent and hate asking for help but you've paid/are paying taxes and national insurance so you should check if you're entitled to help as that's exactly what it's for. Thoughts are with you, Poppy

Good morning all! Today is my first day of joining a group. Poppy I don't know much about you but I am praying for ya! I know you can do it. Sometimes it is more than just the calories. Sometimes we have to watch everything (carbs and sugars). You can do it! I have been very down and disgusted with myself as well. But I pray about it and I have changed a lot about my eating habit and activities and it is gradually coming off.

I'm with Rckc on lowering your carbs. If you're reluctant to up your fat, protein is also far more filling. I would be starving on your breakfast too if I only had 800 calories to play around with.

Thanks for the advice and support everyone
Doobrie and Rckc I'll be starting tomorrow with eggs to see if that makes a difference
Thanks phooka , but because I'm on sickpay ie technically working, I'm not entitled income support which is the gateway to free school lunches, 6th form scholarship, help with school trips and uniforms etc.. I would technically be better off on the dole, but I've always worked and aim to continue . But this month is hard, as my employer messed up my sick pay while I was in and out of

..hospital so deducted 600 quid from my December wages to cover the overpayments that were there fault.. I'm not entitled to any help as technically I'm earning money this month, but I've had it over the last few months! Hence I really need to be well enough to go back to work!
Afstigger65- thanks for the advice and support
As Jocko says.. chin up. Just need to get thru today and then deal with tomorrow. Thanks guys ❤️❤️

That's a bit much, Poppy. Think they should have at least discussed with you about paying it back gradually. Rotten employers!

Prayers sent your way....my favorite verse is, "sorrow endureth the night but joy cometh with the morning." Expect good things as God wants only the best for you.
