Well, having a digital scale is a roller coaster. Good thing I read an EXCELLENT article posted on the Atkins website about weight and fat cells. Did you know that the human body can only lose (at best) 2 pounds of actual fat per week? The rest is water. And, that when a fat cell is emptied of its fat, it may fill up with water if it gets an 'alert' that the body is getting dehydrated? When it fills up with water, the scale registers a weight gain but your body is really waiting for enough water intake to feel confident to let that water-filled fat cell finally empty is temporary load.
I found the article fascinating. http://community.atkins.com/discussions/viewTopic/p/topicId/4749030/RE_Weighing_and_your_lying_scales_.htm
A little long, but a SERIOUSLY important read for all Atkineers!
Blessings today folks!
