The past 2 years has been horrid with menopausal symptoms overriding all my attempts to stay healthy and slim. I've suffered severe fatigue, insomnia, hot flushes 27/7, uncontrollable cravings and inability to do any exercise for more than 5 minutes! I'm knocked out for the day from exhaustion my body cannot cope, my mind cannot cope with it either. September 2022 I moved from peri menopause to becoming permanently in menopause. It suxs! its cruel to my body and not helping. I've developed a huge amount of weight around my middle and now sport a belly apron! not fair!!
I'm disappointed and upset.
86 kg Lost so far: 6 kg.    Still to go: 32 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

The joys of being a woman!!!!! I feel your sadness as I too have hit the beginning of menopause…. Insomnia, hot flashes, etc; I started doing the OMAD & it has made a huge difference for me; As I too had put on almost 25kg; I have lost almost 10 now (in 6-8 weeks) I have been walking (just a steady pace NOT power walking) of 6-8km 6 days a week as I have struggled to exercise (no more boxing or swimming) & keeping my caloric intake @ 1200- 1500 a day…. As I said this is really working for me; You can do this & perhaps some info might be of benefit???? I wish you all the success on you wellness journey & of course from one Meno to another; MAY THE FORCE BE WITH YOU….

Hello; how are ya??? OMAD is one meal a day; I eat in the caloric deficit range so my one meal is 1500 calories. I am also doing intermittent fasting, I include LOOSELY: Keto, Carnivore diet, very low carb; NO ALCOHOL and take BLACK SEED OIL daily… basically everything else you can think of in regard to fitness and health I’m doing I walk 6-7 km 6 days a week also l!!! After 4 weeks of this I do a VLCD for one week which is 1100 calories 3x meals of 350 & back to OMAD; I love the OMAD & IF plan it’s great for mature woman and has had many success stories though like most “DIET” plans I’m not sure it is sustainable indefinitely long term I eventually would like to do TWO meals; of 750 calories- that’s at least 6 months away…. & only indulge in things like alcohol or cake, sweets etc for celebrations & not just because it’s Wednesday- 😂 I wish absolute success on your health & lifestyle journey and thank you for the opportunity to connect- 😊😊😊

wow you are doing incredible distances. My body wouldnt cope with one meal per day yet as the cravings must be eliminated first. thank you for your info as its most helpful. for some odd reason its still not private to all. maybe I needed your imput first 😊

I’m going through the same thing and have put my self on a 1200 calorie diet and do not weigh myself, i try to go by the way my clothing fits and i try to concentrate on health. I try it focus on fibre and protein. It helps.
