Not sure how to log last night's dinner. Hubby and I treated ourselves to a nice dinner out.
I shared an appetizer of Dynamite Calamari (spicy corn flour dusted baby squid, homemade green sriracha aioli) with my hubby and then ate most of a Pan Seared Trout dish (with sweet potato & corn ragout, chorizo, parsnip chips). Had 1/2 a bottle of white wine and a vodka martini with dinner then 2 drinks of Black Seal rum at a local pub.
I should have expected to see a gain this morning.

Once every six months or so we treat ourselves to some high-end dining. It's fun dressing up pretending we're important people with money. LOL The meal was really good. I just wish I hadn't felt full so quickly. :-) I never make it to dessert. :-( I'm pretty sure I blew my calorie budget yesterday just like I will today. Gotta love prepped salads.

Thanks Pam and Bill. We don't do it often (can't afford to) so it is a real treat for us. Drive there and eat, walk to the pub and drink, cab home and another glass of wine (home by 10:30), pick up car the next morning. The next time will probably around our anniversary in October. In the meantime, I have to behave and eat healthy. Oh, and exercise too. Right. Exercise.

Oh I hear ya. We have Tim Horton and Dairy Queen treats every so often. I've discovered that the mini-blizzard from DQ is not too evil or filling. I don't crave sweets so I'm very fortunate. Turning them down is easy for me.
