I decided that one of the most important issues for my in my weight loss struggle is frequency of weighing. I had been doing weekly, I went to ever three days and my my most recent frequency is monthy. I also went back to recording everthing I ate and was hoping that, as it has been in the past, weight loss is truly a math problem. Calorie deficit of aprox 3500 calories = a pound of weight loss. Using Fat Secrets numbers for what my calorie use would be I calculated that since my last weigh in on the 6th of March (I only implemented the once a month weigh in on that date) my calorie deficit would equal a 6.2 pound weight loss. I was wrong in a positive way I'm down 10 pounds in three and a half weeks. I only had two days out of those 19 where I was in a calorie surplus.

The other insight that I had regards all the lately very discouraging news in the general media about obesity being a desiese and that a person is deluded to think that without medical intervention they can lose and maintain their weight in a healthy range. I realized that if that is true then it will take extrodinary measures -- like recording all calorie intake for the rest of my life to be able to lose and maintain that loss. We shall see. I certainly feel very positive about the weight loss so far.
