This is such an amazing community on here. I've never posted anything and only commented a few times, but all the people here are so helpful and uplifting, itcs an inspiration. I started at 300lbs last August, and I knew I had to lose some weight before I started having health issues. I stuck to around 1500cal per day diet, and keep fairly active at work every day, so never felt the need for extra exercise. 8 months later and I'm down to 200 and feel amazing. I still feel there's more to lose yet, but I've met my initial goal
90.5 kg Lost so far: 45.5 kg.    Still to go: 0 kg.    Diet followed: Reasonably Well.

It took me just over 8 months, but I bet there would be people that would say I went too fast. I tried to listen to my body and not starve myself, as long as I was keeping busy during the day I found I needed very little for breakfast and lunch, then I always had a larger supper. If I didn't get decently full at suppertime I'd find myself looking for a bedtime snack. And I still ate the things I enjoyed even if they were not the best for me, I just kept an eye on calories and made it balance out. Probably the biggest thing I did was to cut out all the fast food from my diet, and cut way back on sugary drinks. I don't even find myself craving it anymore now

Wonderful. Losing 100 lbs would have improved your health considerably. You did it in a way that kept you on track. Thanks for your story. You are an inspiration.

100 pounds lost over a year Is an “ideal” rate of loss - about 2 pounds per week. “Naysayers, begone!” You’re doing incredibly well and your well-deserved success is to be congratulated. Hats off to you my healthy friend!
