Two pounds for the week. Not sure what to make of this. I am proud of the two pound loss but I was expecting more. Where is that 6-9 pound drop that so many people experience on Atkins that first week???? I followed the plan to the letter. Was even so concise of what went into my mouth and I turned down a stick of gum!
Yesterday morning I was one pound less that I am this morning. And I ate less calories (because I slept in) and worked out harder! I don't get it. But I will stick this out for the second week of induction.

I wouldn't be so hard on your results...you've lost a very nice 4.6 pounds in about 7-8 days! Congratulations! Typically, your weight won't go down a specified amount each and every day, no matter how "good" you are. We all have very normal, unique daily fluctuations. For my DH, it can be almost a 5 pound swing! For me, it's 2-3 pounds. FWIW, I am sensitive to the nitrates/nitrites in processed meats, like your Slim Jims, deli meats, summer sausage, etc. Even the Atkins book has a cautionary footnote about these products. So for me, I have to be careful of what types I eat and how much, because they will cause my loss to slow dramatically. You're doing fine, just stick to the plan.
