Just one pound away from being in the one sixty something... It's been a while. I still see considerable fluctuations between morning weight and evening weight; sometimes as many as 5 pounds. And also before and after running: on a 10-mile run in the Houston heat and humidity it is easy to drop 5 pounds in water weight. It comes right back of course but over time, the trend is down.

Reading an interesting book: The Pleasure Trap (Goldhamer and Lisle) where they talk about the motivational triad, the stuff which underpins our existence: There's three: the pursuit of pleasure, avoidance of pain and conservation of energy. Very interesting observations on nutrition and how we are collectively (at least in much of the industrialized world) suffering from an excess of almost everything, notably food. And that the key to improved health is not to add things to our diets (like vitamins, supplements etc.) but to subtract/avoid things like processed foods, animal products, dairy, fat/oil and drugs/stimulants like alcohol, recreational drugs and caffeine.
