Last week was a mixed bag of tricks.
Felt like I was successful staying within or under calories, but was battling a sweet tooth most of the week and made a few poor choices. Weight continues to fluctuate between 216 and 218, but since I've lost 3+ inches since measuring a month ago I can attribute most of it to new muscle.
Hoping a dip in carb and sugar consumption this week will help with the weight this week as well.

Taking progress pictures and measurements, and noticing how clothes fit are other ways I gauge progress too. I have photos where I am exactly the same weight over the years, but because of body composition I look very different.
It’s ok to eat sugar and carbs, it’s important to track calories accurately so when there is an uptick we know whether it’s water or fat. I lean towards complex carbs because I feel like I get more bang for my buck (satisfaction for the number of calories). For sweet tooth, I kill it with fresh fruits and baked sweet potatoes + coconut cream.

Thanks John! Fruits and sweet potatoes are my normal goto as well Moopie, but I confess to being a little out of control since Thanksgiving with all the cookies, pies, and treats EVERY where I look. Slowly reeling myself back in
