Does anyone have any theories as to why this might have happened?

I wouldn’t stress it. Do you have a way to see if your body fat has gone down? If you’ve upped a gym routine lately it could well be your body adapting

Thanks. And yes. Have gone from being a relative couch potato to doing a minimum of x3 1 hour gym sessions a week combining mostly cardio with some light weights for toning and strengthening.

0.2 kg is the equivalent in weight of a small glass of water. So you could actually have lost twice or three times that in fat but be suffering some water retention. Or have a sluggish gut (I'll avoid going into too much detail on that one - you get the idea, surely). What you're doing sounds pretty good so stick with it. There's more ways to measure success than the scales - can you walk / run further or faster without getting out of breath? Have you tried using a tape measure to see what your waist, thighs, upper arms are? All the best - you'll get there in the end!

Make sure you don’t drink any liquids before you weigh yourself and use the toilet before you weigh yourself and could be type of food and when you eat but I’m not a expert but the way
You are conducting yourself you can’t lose I think what really bothered you was going above 100 again you were so happy with going below 100
But don’t let it mess with your head your doing well

Try not to get despondent. This happened to me a couple of months ago. I was actually down to 900 cals a day and still added weight. I was getting frustrated and depressed. Suddenly though it all turned round, the weight came off and I got back up to 1400 cals a day and continued to loose. Keep strong and work through it. It will happen.

If your doing weights you will be building muscle,I could weigh my self in the am but in the pm put 1lb/2lbs. Go by the how your clothes fit. I get weighed 1st day of each month I know I work hard diet and gym wise so no need to get weighed so often.

Thank you everyone for all the support and advice. It’s a great community on here and I’m really glad I joined. I’m generally impatient and having been around 60kg for most of my adult life and having put on so much weight over the past 18 months I guess I’m in too much of a rush to see huge results.
