good for you! most of it is excess water but the real pounds start coming off if you do the plan correctly. to get the loss so quickly I am guessing you are doing it correctly. it generally takes three days to get into ketosis.

Today will be day three. The challenge today is my schedule. My eight hour window will be off as I am working 10:30 to 3:30. I will have to eat before 11 and I had planned on making eggplant parm. tonight. So, the window will be longer. How will I know if I have reached ketosis without all the fancy gadgets? The MCT oil in my lemon infused water sure helps.

oh you are doing IF too?? that is awesome, quick way to get into ketosis. I just use the ketone test strips. cheap and you don't have to check daily, just spot check to make sure you are on track or the next day if you have reason to question it. When I bumped up my protein level and calories I was doing spot checks. I have been on the diet for months and my test strips have only needed to be replaced once. I am not obsessive about it.

I didn't enter a new weight today, but lost 1.2 lbs yesterday! Since Saturday (4 days), 7 pounds! I can only do 1 tsp. MCT oil, otherwise it wreaks havoc with my intestines. I will be receiving test strips today and will check it out. Thanks for the support!
