Well, I haven't been on here in awhile. A lot has happened since November of '07 when I last weighed in. At last weigh in, I weighed 138. My family and I moved to the Charlotte, NC area almost a year ago from Daytona Beach, FL. We moved here for work reasons. Most of the year, the weather here is very nice and mild. The winter here is pretty cold, and we had a couple of snow days. That's where I fell off the wagon. I was doing well until the holidays, then I put on a lot of weight. I now weigh 164 lbs. I haven't weighed this much since I was pregnant 10 years ago. I don't feel so great either. I have no energy and it's hard to get out of bed somedays. Sometimes I eat too much and feel sick for a couple hours afterwards. I still work at Carrabba's Italian Grill, and I'm given 3-5 free meals a week. There is nothing there that's not fattening. It's going to be a challenge to lose fifty pounds by July 4, but I think joining this challenge is the best way for me to have the support I need. My kids will be doing alot of it with me. I have a 15 year old daughter and a 10 year old son. I'm going to get a bike and we'll ride everyday that the weather allows. I'll be following the Fat Smash Diet, as I did before. Well, even though I haven't gained back any weight, I haven't been following the diet at all. It's been a combination of financial and job stress and the holidays that has sabotaged me. I can tell the difference in my energy level and my skin. I really need to get back on track. I also haven't been to the gym in about a month. I'm starting over with phase 1 again tomorrow. Actually, I'm on my way to the store to get all of my fruits and veggies now. I'll keep you posted.

Had a rough couple days. My birthday was Halloween,and I thought that would be tough, but I didn't get a cake or touch any of my kids trick or treat candy. Then, I went to a party on Saturday night and had too much to drink. So Sunday and today I didn't have the energy or feel well enough to prepare the food I'm supposed to eat and I also didn't go to the store to stock up on stuff I need. I'd say I stuck to the diet 50%. I haven't gained anything back. I'm going to the store tonight and I'm back on track for tomorrow.

Well, I'm through Phase 1. I've lost 7 pounds so far. I feel great! I followed the diet mostly 100%. I say "mostly" because I might have only eaten 4 small meals a couple days instead of 5, or I might not have eaten exactly on the 3 hour mark. I'm not hungry like I thought I would be, and I don't have many cravings. I feel like I have more energy. I've been going to the gym and walking on the treadmill. From now on, I'm going to make more of an effort to do more strenuous exercise. I might try rollerblading during the day too. I'm kind of afraid to add in cereal and some meat to my diet. I think I'm going to try to stay vegetarian and maybe just have the cereal every other day. Hope everyone is doing well, and thanks for being there!

Losing 1.9 kg a Week

Well, this is the end of day three and I'm doing great. I haven't cheated at all! This is a big deal since I work as a server at Carrabba's Italian Grill. If anyone has ever been to one, you know how the food is. Rich, buttery, fattening, and DELICIOUS. It's hard serving the food all night and not thinking of eating anything there. I took a bag a grapes and baby carrots to eat throughout the night. Then at the end of the night I ate my fat free light yogurt and some plain grilled aparagus (our veg of the evening). I'm doing great with the eating, but I need to go to the gym alot more. I'm going to pilates tomorrow morning at 10:30. The next time I talk to you guys I'll be Sore. I did go for a walk after dinner tonight though. It's also hard not weighing yourself for 9 days. Wish me luck!
