I have been working out and actually dropped a dress size. I gained 7 lbs, but I'm much more fit and compact- thanks to muscle. The number on the scale can be deceptive; I weigh more now and look better than when I was 10 pounds lighter. That's why it's so important not to get fixated on a number.

It's been a rough few weeks. My husband was away in Montana and my little one got a double ear infection. To make matters worse, I got a sinus infection. I didn't really have time to focus on myself (between work, parenting, and host of other responsibilities). Now, that things have somewhat normalized (I'm still sick), I hope to do a better job of taking care of me.

The weekends are tough. I tend to fail because I don't plan. Usually, I'm with my family, working on client presentations or catching up on chores. I end up "undereating" because I'm either running around or I'm deeply absorbed in a highly-stressful task. This is something I'm going to actively work on in the next month. I follow a fairly restrictive diet (allergic to dairy and wheat). But I also have IBS and other digestive problems, so it's not always easy finding a healthy snack outside of the home.
