Last year I started the Atkins diet and failed miserably. I had to stop the Atkins diet and all dieting in general because I found out I was pregnant. During my pregnancy I watched what I ate but was told not to diet because its a bad idea to lose weight while pregnant. I gained 40 pounds during my pregnancy. It took 11 days to drop 30 pounds of gained water weight and then I managed to drop an additional pounds by the first of the year. 3 months postpartum. I got down to 188 pounds and that's when I really started putting in the effort.
I designed my own diet plan. I have cut out alcohol, soda, sugars, bread, butter and red meats. I've added in more fruits and veggies and have made sure to eat 3 meals a day. I have increased my water intake and have made the effort to exercise 30 minutes daily.
I'm making progress. I have good days and bad days.
I have goals however to keep me motivated.
