I’ve been a lazy bum today. And sadly it was a beautiful day, the last one before bunches of rain. I did get a jogging stroller for Mr Winston and walked him around a bit to try it out. He said he was not a fan. Oh well, his hip won’t let him walk long distances and when I leave him at home he punishes me by pooping the floor. He will have to get used to the stroller 😊. I’m thinking I may go to Huntsville tomorrow and check out walking shoes. Not wanting to purchase just yet but it would be a good trip. Something to do on a rainy day.

4 miles today. I’m very disappointed in myself because I was trying for more. I went out of town to try a new trail that should have been 14 miles long. But it was not marked clearly and I ended up going in a 1.5 mile circle. I was so mad at myself. But I am learning about trails and how to find good ones and actually follow them 😊. Tomorrow is to be another pretty day. Hope I get more walking in. I’d really like to lose some weight before my FL trip in April. So far I have lost a total of 15 pounds but I honestly can’t see the change and don’t really see much loss in measurements. I know that is partly because I probably measure in slightly different places. I’m concerned that I need to adjust my goal weight downward 😔. I’m 10 pounds away from it but I’m far from the right ‘look’

3 miles on the treadmill this morning. Yay me!! Met my friend at her gym and stuck it out for the entire hour. Almost didn’t but once we got really talking the hour went by pretty quickly. I’m toying with the idea of joining the 1000 mile challenge that is put on by a UK magazine. The FB site and sub sites are really cool. Great pictures. But I dont want to set a goal like that right now. I’d hate to not meet it and just give up like I am likely to do. So I’m thinking to set a 100 mile goal. I did 30 in January so it is a good beginning. Anyone want to join me?

It has been a day. I went to walk twice but never made it. I took my mother to walk this morning but it started raining just as we left the house. So we ran some errands and waited until the rain stopped. Well we get to the park an get started and we make it about 200 steps. Seriously. She says her hip hurts and she can’t go farther. So we turn back and get back to the car. It was .18 miles. Yes - not even a quarter of a mile. So I had to take her home. Then the rain started up again pretty bad. So I decided to go to the gym and walk on the track. It would take 12 trips around the stupid thing to make a mile. Talk about getting dizzy!! So I ended up in the hot tub. Tomorrow more rain 😔. I may have to go sneak into the weight portion of the gym and try a treadmill.

I’m back on track with my food. I expected as much from me because denying myself is always pretty easy. It is the ‘doing’ that is so darn hard!! I dressed for a walk today but ended up not going. My friend could not go and I just bailed on myself too. Did the same thing yesterday in fact. I desperately need a walking group. I joined the #1000mile walking group on FB but they are mainly in the UK. Joined an Alabama hiking group but they don’t have weekly or daily walks. Sometimes living in a smaller town sucks!! The good thing about the FB groups is that they have beautiful pictures. I think I need to figure out how to get to the UK 😊. Apparently they have paths everywhere!! I have to go in a darn 1.5 mile circle 😔. Woe is me. Lol
