Weighed in this morning, with no change. Which is much better then a weight gain...
On another hand, The events of last evening in Texas really got me upset. As a veteran, and having been married to, and dated active duty and veterans. I've seen PTSD. I've seen it up close and pesonal. I've seen what it can do to a person and to a family and to relationships. I would never fault somebody for living with this, nor would I fault a family for staying together in the wake of it. And neither would I fault a family to break apart for safety if it was needed.
I don't know what this soldier's family is going to say, or what was going on at home. I'm not defending his actions, I completely condemn them. When more information gets out on this, I wonder how much of this could have been prevented by seeking help earlier. If he hadn't been also fighting with the military stigma surrounding the act of 'seeking help'.
God Bless our Military, and keep them. My heart goes out to the families and friends of the victims, even the one who took his own life.

So, Starting to look for exercises that will help me tone and lose weight. My biggest problem is I can't do high impact, so running or jumping type exercise is out. I have very bad knees and when doing squats I creak more than the worst set of stairs (no joke). Even shocked the physical therapist I had a couple years ago after an injury (knee of course).
So I'm thinking about the classic pushups, planking, crunches, and doing some lifting with my free weights. That's mostly core and upper body... I can only think of squats for my legs, and I really need to strengthen my legs, if only for the sake of my knees.
Thoughts?

Whoo Hooo! Showing some progress, even if its a couple of lbs. Its progress! and in the right direction. :-D I did really good over the weekend, eating wise, but to be honest, I usually don't eat much over the weekends. When I have the set schedule at work, I eat at my alloted time, but otherwise, I don't really remember.
Funny thing is, now that I've started this, I've been talking quite a bit with my 18 yr old daughter. She's got a very high metabolism and low confidence in body image. She's 5'6 and 120ish... and still sees that tiney bit of pooch that all women should have and feels fat. Maybe if I could turn her on to keeping track of what she eats and how many calories she SHOULD eat... idk.
