Ughhhh, I should have walked around yesterday with my eyes closed! My greatest strength during this diet has been avoidance. If I can't eat it, I make sure I don't have it in my presence (or walk down that particular aisle at the supermarket, lol). I was doing great yesterday until my neighbor came to offer the family an easter gift...A BAG OF HERSHEY KISSES! I know I should have turned them down, but of course I didn't want to be rude! So of course my pastry chef husband decided to melt them down and dip the strawberries in them. Geez, that definitely didn't help.
I had a couple more of them today until I finally begged my son to throw them away...in the BOTTOM of the garbage can. lol

Today I was absolutely exhausted! I knew I was tired when I started thinking about cheating on my diet, lol. I thought about every cake, pie and desert imaginable. My solution wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either. I always keep a jar of homemade trailmix (peanuts, raisins & peanut/regular M&Ms)at my bedside for a late night craving fix. This worked really well when I was just trying to maintain my weight, but up until today I have stayed away from it during Atkins induction.
To be honest with myself, I think the 1/2 of girl scout cookie kick starting a sugar craving. Although I was proud of myself for throwing the cookie away after taking a bite, I have to TOTALLY refrain from ANY indulgence.
Now if I can just figure out how to keep my energy level where it needs to be.

Well, although I didn't eat a whole heck of a lot yesterday, unfortunately the salad from Famous Dave's blew my diet out the water. Thank goodness I did an hour of step aerobics to lighten the calorie load. Today I am focused on staying under my 20g of carbs. Geez, that sure isn't easy!

Whew, I've made it 10 days and I'm still very motivated. I've actually had fun challenging myself this time around and for the first time in my life I'm exercising!
