Today is the last day of the Shred. I am ready to be done with it. I had no problem with the low calories (surprisingly), but it's so boring having the same food day in and day out. The real test will be to see if the 5 pounds stays off when life goes back to normal.

This is how pathetic I am. I am bummed that I only lost a half pound since yesterday. Am I happy that I lost 5 pounds in 4 days on this experiment? Only sort of. My sister lost 11 pounds in 6 days and I'm jealous. See? Pathetic. I know I will probably gain weight back when I go back to normal eating. I am hoping to keep up at least some of the good habits (exercise, portion control), and not regress, but vcation looms and I have the willpower of a two year old. Urgh.

It's the start of day 4. That means no afternoon snack for the last phase, days 4-6. The hardest part for me so far has been boredom since I have to eat the same thing for each meal, (eggs for breakfast, chicken, rice and veggies for lunch, salad and salmon for dinner). I'm missing variety. Another pound down, but I am a bit worried about what will happen when I am done with my experiment. Moderation will be key for me. Heading to the gym now for my walk.

Day 3 of my 6 Day Shred. I am down a pound and a half from yesterday. I am pleasantly surprised that I am not struggling with the meals. Eggs, brown rice, chicken, salmon, salad greens, berries - what could be bad? And I'm not starving, although I do miss dessert. We'll see how I feel on the 4th, 5th, and 6th day! Thirty minutes on the treadmill, and 3 sets of leg extensions and lifts for my exercise. Have a great day people!

Trying an experiment before I leave for vacation. I am doing the 6 Day Shred from P90. It is not sustainable as a lifestyle - nor is it meant to be - it is supposed to be a "jumpstart" to a healthier way of eating. The caloric intake is very low, which is why you lose weight, and I have no idea what will happen after the 6 days. I feel like I can learn to make better choices though, since I am not struggling. I am eating every 3 hours (like another plan to keep your metabolism up), and I have added exercise back into my day. I also upped my water intake. The first day is about 1200 calories, then 1000 for 2 days, and 800 for 3. I will try to check in daily. I started at 162 on Monday, and woke up to 160 today. I can guarantee it was not water loss, as I drank 96 oz. Did the treadmill for a half hour yesterday and today with a few sets of chest exercises yesterday, and back/lat today.
