Just when u think you've reached smooth sailing. Yesterday, I failed to eat any veggies for breakfast or lunch. (Lack of Time)...When I got home, feel asleep reading an Atkins book. When I woke up, My body was hungry and my son had made tater tots. I thought sweets were my downfall, but I could not make myself resist. I was quickly making myself a salad, but could not make the salad quickly enough.
Lesson learned is to eat all of my planned food so I do have the strength to walk away. Have actually had some sweet cravings too. (
Didn't I just journal that I wasn't having any cravings????
)
So I am doing my meal planning for the upcoming week. Trying to add more protein, and less fat. I start the P90x challenge on Monday so I will be talking with kids and hubby to let them know I need an hour and a half every afternoon.
Lost 7 lbs this week. I should be excited, but I had so much water weight that I'm holding off any feelings of triumph until next weekend. Isn't that usually the hardest week for everyone on Biggest Loser??

So, hubby and kids got double stuffed Oreo's last night. Didn't have any craving for them. (Well, maybe a little, little, tiny one, but nothing like the cravings used to be!) I made myself the Atkins cream soda and was perfectly content.
The only non-postive things that is happening is that my legs, feet, and ankles are so swollen. I'm watching my sodium but last night they were just about the worst they have been. We had a monsoon but I don't know if extra humidity could exacerbate the swelling issue or not. I ended up taking some vit b, some potassium, and the diuretics that the doctor had previously given me. I don't like taking them, but it was a last resort. When I weighed myself before bed I was 241lbs!! Put my compression hose on, went to bed, and woke up at 235lbs. Wondering how healthy that can be, but my feet definitely feel better.
Not exercising this first week of Induction, but will start tomorrow(1st day of 2nd week of Induction) to see if sweating helps the edema. Also need more water. Hopefuly those two things will put an end to my cankles!!

Gained 1/2 a lb?? Read that the Advantage/Atkins shakes will do that for some people.. Cutting those shakes out for now. Will see how the next 2 days go.
Went to dinner with the family. Mexican food. It was very easy to not eat chips or tortillas. Had fajitas and only ate about a third of what was served which means lunch for tomorrow is taken care of.
Still loving the Atkins Cream Soda. Almost bought a protein bar which showed it had no sugar, but upon closer glance, it had 16 grams of carbs. Put that back right away.
Curious to see what the scale says tomorrow!
