What happened? I'm not sure what? Lack of sleep and 2 many socialising/work nights out that involved alcohol? Whatever it is I FELT the change in my weight - in my jeans. This morning I made a decision to cut out carbs this week - so that I can get back on track. Also on Friday a co-worker who I know isnt my friend - just someone I speak to off and on, pulled me aside and said "yes so everyone thinks you are looking bigger - especially your work pants, your butt..." I said "stop right there, I'm fully aware I am not the small framed skinny girl I was when I started here 5 years ago - but I am also not obese, and I'm also very aware of my little weight gain (which is around my upper abs and back), and if you want to comment on my ass, have you ever heard about squats? My butt is big but not fat...and its the one thing I'm proud of." well - said co-worker looked pretty blown away and this morning has been quite sheepish with me. I'm so fed up of people trying to under mind me! People are so mean! If you aren't a close friend or relative - do not comment on my weight!

So it has been a month and my weight has stayed more or less the same. My achievement I think is that I have not gained anymore - as I was steadily gaining a pound a month since the beginning of the year. This evening I am going to try a spin class for the first time and tomorrow I am doing my usual Friday evening Alexander hill walk/jog. Alexander hill is a residential area where I live with lots of steep hills and a part with 100 steps to climb. The best part is at the top you get an amazing view of the west with the sun sinking into the ocean...I wish I knew how to attach photos to this post! So far I have no been able to jog very much on these hills because I get so out of breath. I think over the next couple of weeks I will challenge myself to walking most of it but jogging up the hills. Going to keep pushing myself!
