Saturday’s 329 calorie and 7.7 carb day followed by yesterday and today being around half of my normal intake have me feeling sluggish and low on energy today. Hitting 301 on the scale this morning was incredible, and I’m really looking forward to hitting 299 and hopefully getting to 260, but I should probably be a little smarter about it. I’m getting my protein in, though. Hard boiled egg for breakfast, tuna at lunch, chicken thighs tonight. I need something to pick me up, for sure. Maybe a nice spinach salad for lunch tomorrow.
I told my wife a month ago that I needed to shop for more work pants as the ones I have were too tight. Now I can literally pull them off without unbuttoning them. Crazy. Getting there.

Day 28: I saw a morning weigh in of 305.9. Pretty cool.
My oldest son's birthday is today and by George I ate a nice small piece of his incredibly rich chocolate cake. And loved every bite of it. That and a few other items have me more than 600 calories over my goal of 1800 per day or less. But, this is his 19th birthday, and less than a week away before we take him to college to play division 1 basketball. I'm celebrating with my boy!
Oh, and he asked for chicken wings this Tuesday, the night before we take him. Pretty sure I am going to eat chicken wings with some sense of reckless abandon. I'll skip the fries, though. And I'll drink water. But I'm eating my 20+ chicken wings and bleu cheese dressing!
Other than today and this Tuesday, I'll try to stick to the plan. I told my wife this morning how close I am to getting to a weight that starts with a "2" and that is pretty exciting. It's probably only a week or so away if I can keep it up.
No weights today, but I did ride a stationary bike with a hilly plan 7.1 miles in 25-minutes. And shot some hoops with my two oldest boys. I imagine I burned 300+ calories. I'm laser-focused on reaching my goals, so the little (even intentional) bumps aren't the end of me. I feel great. God is good. I feel blessed, my friends. I hope you do, too.

Two days of no exercise and I stayed at 308 lbs. Yesterday I hit the bike, weight room, and rowing machine and hit 306 this morning. 299, here I come. On to 260!

Day 25: I skipped breakfast today. Really for no particular reason. I got up, talked with my wife a bit until she left for work at 8:00 AM, and then hopped on my bike and rode for 36-minutes, a little over 7-miles. I came back, showered, and went to run some errands. I was never really hungry. I weighed in and was disappointed to see I hadn't gained/lost weight in the last 48-hours, but I also had two long days at work, and was pretty tired both days. Just an odd start to the day, really, but not negative in any way. I enjoyed cooked cabbage with shrimp and a side of cole slaw for lunch. I'm looking forward to some chicken thighs this evening with a little sugar-free barbecue sauce and some veggies.
I'm still digging in to the DASH Diet, trying to see what I can come up with. It seems to make perfect sense for me, though the weight loss may come a little slower. I'm also wondering if protein supplements might help me. Like a protein shake in the mornings or right after I work out. We'll see.
