Well blah...I spoke too soon yesterday and ended up at the mall with the kids at dinner time. Attempted to make some smart choices by getting something grilled and not fried and skipping on the french fries and going for noodles, then I ended up with crab rangoon (from the son) and an egg roll on my plate...and then I ATE THEM! So disappointed in myself and then managed to eat the last few pieces of my Valentine's Day candy when we got home, (at least it is gone now). I keep telling myself minor set back but my mind isn't thinking how I want it to, yet.

Day two and running strong...it is those small steps that keep you going. So far I have stuck to my plan and am not feeling hungry or deprived. Out of habit I reached for the donut holes this afternoon as I was waiting for lunch to warm up and I stopped myself. Huge step...before I would have said "What is one donut going to do?" One small step for Mellie...one giant leap towards weight loss!

Here we go again. I feel like I am on a never ending roller coaster. It is time to do this whole weight loss thing and to do it right, no gimics. I have tried the fad diets in the past with decent results but it is so hard to keep on them for life. Once I come off of one of these I gain back more than I lost and thus the cycle repeats itself. I am ready to change the way I live my life from the foods I eat to my daily activity. Today is the day I make it happen..NO MORE EXCUSES!
