One thing I know and probably dislike about myself is that I get bored easily. One thing I love about myself is that I don't mind taking a step back to leap 10 steps forward.
Yesterday I tried a new workout after the poor workout I had 2 days ago. Since I was getting bored. Call it, taking a step back.
Didn't go so well either so, I decided to go back to the routine I was already on today. Have to say, I killed it. Call it leaping 10 steps forward. Felt much more energized and ready to go after it. Really looking forward to tomorrow's workout.
Oh! I started eating Oatmeal again post workout. I didn't eat enough as I got hungry soon after. I will be eating more today. I heard turkey increases the likelihood of getting gout? So, I'll be easing off that for a bit. I feel much cleaner with Oatmeal anyways 😀

Solid. Been weighing myself between today and my last entry. Swaying between 155 and 157.5.
Had to postpone 1 leg day because my right ankle was sore? Might have been from playing basketball with my daughter.. I don't recall my ankle rolling though. As well as my left knee which was hit while moving furniture. There were a few sore spots which I'm sure would have compromised the workout integrity.
Did a Leg day today with some modification since it's been about 2 weeks from the last one. Didn't put in progression.
I did however find some new peaks in my performance. 80's on Incline, 60's on Seated Press and 90's on SLDL. No slangin and bangin. Thought i found the peak of my mountain a couple years ago.. Love that there's more to this mountain than I thought! I'm sore every week because of progression.
I'm also noticing I'm running out of breath during my workouts. Might need to start some low/moderate cardio to stay functional as a dad too. This will mean more calories needed.
Hit my calories also since my last entry or came very close to it. Had to supplement a few days at the end to catch up including last night. Extra calories for cardio will be tough to get in... it's either that or reduce workout days. Gotta figure this out 😆

Today, I weigh 159lbs. Tomorrow... who knows 😆
Looks like whatever I've eaten doesn't leave my system this early in the morning as other weigh-ins show. I'm sure tomorrow will be back down to about 157lbs.
Yes, it happened today, it was an early morning workout today! It's been a long while since I've been in the gym at 3am. Kind of missing this routine. Less distraction, more freedom, I'm even thinking of recording and posting again on my Instagram. Besides that, I can identify any form opportunities as well. Haven't recorded since my home gym days, now that I'm in a public setting, respectfully, I choose not to. Though 3am looks like my opportunity to start again.
...this will also give me more time to get all those calories in 😁😁😁😁😁

There we go! Just to check in, I weighed in at 156.5lbs yesterday. This weight seems right for weight progression! 158lbs was way too much too quickly. I did eat about 500kCal less than my daily target last night, but besides that, I'm still pushing to hit my daily intake more consistently.
I've completed 4 weeks now of this training routine. Great strength gain, great progression. Had some failures along the way but that's how progress is made!
Good timing too as I was reminded of the difference between weight lifting and body building yesterday.
Today was Day 1 of my of my building journey. It was a Leg day as well hahahaha. Feel the stretch and get the contraction. I know I will be extra hungry today! 3650 kCal.... here I come!

Hmmmm.... not entirely sure how I've gained 3 lbs in the last 9 days 😳
Not a bad thing for my goal, I'm happy, just seems a little quick.
Typically been weighing in at around 10am.
These last 2 158lb weigh ins have been at 7am and today at 6am. Might be why.
Since January 10 and the planned kCal increase, I've successfully hit my new daily caloric intake 3 days. The extra 250kCal has been tough. Water has remained somewhat the same. Still targeting higher intake, but also unsuccessfully. Working on it!
So really, not much has changed. I do see my body changes though and I'm loving it!
