Today was one of THOSE days. I ate nachos. I loved it. I also had a glass of wine, okay two glasses of wine. I didn’t eat anything else, so my calorie count isn’t maxed out; however, it wasn’t “good” calories.
We are selling our house, and the showings are difficult because we have two dogs and three kiddos all of which we have to take with us, obviously. Anyway, the showings always seem to be during dinner time, so we have to go out to eat. As a child, I was taught eating out was a treat, so it was a time to “splurge.” This concept has really stuck in my mind, and as an adult, I use it as an excuse to overeat or order whatever I want. The combination of showings and my mindset when eating out has seriously complicated my normal eating habits. Instead of clean eating and counting calories, it seems as though my cheat meal has turned into two or three cheat meals. In order to combat this, I’m switching back to meal prepping this week, and I am going to make sure I have something easy to grab for unforeseen showings at dinner time.
