Born 3rd oldest of 6 kids. Mom was stay-at-home, and an excellent baker. I developed a love for sweet things early, but it didn't seem to really hit me until grade 7. I remember looking at both my sisters and feeling enormous (which I wasn't then, but perception is reality). I was active in sports until I started to really concentrate on studies to get entry into a university of my choice (which I did). Never mind freshman 15, it was more like freshman 45. Then I decided to get my rear in gear and get in shape, which I did for the most part. I lost 25 lbs and went down to 170. I was dating a wonderful man, I felt good, looked good, life was good.
Unfortunately he passed away, which threw me into a tailspin of not caring about anything, least of all my health. That was 6 years ago. I can't blame him for it anymore, now it's all me, and it's time for me to own it. Let's get serious and get this fixed.
