I grew up as an over weight kid, weighing in at 230 when I was 20 yrs old. After religiously working out for a year or 2, my weight was down to 165 lbs where I maintained it for about 5 - 6 yrs.

Back in February of 2010, I was diagnosed as a Type 1 diabetic. Apparently, its pretty rare for someone that old to have that condition pop up that late since its hereditary and all. This is not good for a commercial diver such as myself since I can no longer get a medical... so far that is.

Right now, I'm on the track to get back to weight I was before being diagnosed. Always an uphill battle (such as anyone else on this site). Once there, I'm in a better condition to face the doctors as denying me is BS already.
