Hi!
I'm 46 and I live in Alabama and work as a Licensed Home Builder. Like most people, I've kind of put getting back into shape off. For me the biggest problem has always been getting started and staying focused.
My current goal of 205 was my second challenge, when I started with fat secret I was 302 and I blew my first goal of 260 away in about 4 moths so I started over on March 11, 2012 and set a goal of 205 which is what I weighed in 1987 when I graduated from college now 5 months later here I am at 202.I'm now trying to consider if I should go any lower but meanwhile I’m continuing to train because I’m competing in a Half Iron Man competition in May.
I attribute my success to lots of water, more water, and excercise (no soda, alcohol, fruit juice, etc.). I did add crystal light and other lower calorie additives for flavor at times.
I cut out, sweets, candy, dairy, yeast, sugar/fructose, processed foods, and high carb foods like corn, and fries. I focused on foods with higher levels of protein and there are a lot of great recipes on this site.
