I been on Weight Watchers since April 19, 2007 and have lost almost 65 pounds as of 11/2/07.
I gained most of my weight while pregnant (the first time in my life I had an excuse not to diet...and "yes, I'll have a second piece of that cake!" was my mantra). The rest I gained after my son was born, and I just had no energy.
I have an adorable two year old now, who I suddenly realized I feeding healthier food than I was eating! [“No, you can’t have one of mommy's Oreos, eat your banana, you LOVE bananas!”] How could I sustain this after he started eating "real" food with the family? So, I went on Weight Watchers and have been trying to prepare healthy meals that my little family (my husband is thin, the stinker) will eat.
My secret vice is pizza, 1/2 of a thin crust veggie delight pizza at Pizza Hut is 16 points...and I indulge occasionally, I have not found a homemade or "diet" pizza that makes up in points (ie. is a LOT lower), what they lack in taste.
Right now we are trying to make activity a part of our daily lives, our town has a wonderful city pool where we take our son swimming, we take him to feed the ducks (while mom walks), and we hope to take him hiking some of the nature trails (when it gets a bit cooler here!).
The piglet is because my sister and I adore Winnie-the-Pooh (especially the original stories), and although we call each other "Pooh" I'm feeling a bit more "piglet" these days!
Also, I have a google group where we share recipes, interesting info, articles, etc. I'd love to have some more (active) members, so far although my whole family (mother, father, sister & myself) are all on WW, no one but me does much posting. I'd like to find some more folks in the DFW area interested!
