Born in Union County, SC in a town called Santuc about 5 miles from Carlisle. Graduated from Union High School. Yellow Jacket cheer leader, school bus driver while in high school. (Yes. 16 year olds were allowed to drive school busses.) Went to USC-Union, the transferred to USC-Columbia.
