I am a 46 year old mother of two who works as a middle school counselor and as an assistant service manager at a grocery store on nights and weekends. I have been overweight my whole life, except when I lost over 100 pounds in 2004. I managed to keep it off for a few years, but here it is back on 8 years later, sigh. When I lost the weight before, I did it by counting calories and being accountable every month by going to the "fat doctor" who gave me diet pills (don't judge, LOL!). I know I can do it, because I have, but it's harder now . . . . probably because I wrecked my metabolism by only having 800-900 calories a day. Excuses aside, though, I am "in this to win it," and I am dedicating the year of 2012 to getting rid of this weight and feeling as good as I did in 2004!
