I had been settled at a weight I was comfortable with and a diet I loved and which suited me and my husband didn't kick back at! This was Paleo, it gave me my energy back combined with very good health. I'm an active person usually, walking, cycling, combined with a very active job.
November last year, I went in for a total ankle replacement operation, hospital food, then nearly two months of non load bearing leading to minimal load bearing. My husband was having to cook, so quite a lot of ready meals, he did try to pick the best bless him! Complications meant I was put on medication which ballooned my weight by an extra 28lbs, helped by eating the 'wrong' food and enforced sedentary lifestyle.
I'm still on the medication and although I'm back on track with Paleo and lower carb lifestyle, able to walk a little more, although extremely slow, I've been told by my doc that I will find the extra pounds hard to shift while taking the tablets. He's not wrong!
However, my general health is good, so will keep the faith!
