I'm a 42-year-old dude who has a family history of heart disease. I've recently been diagnosed with high blood pressure and high cholesterol. Even though I exercise regularly, that doesn't seem to be enough.
I started this counting calories around the middle of September, 2011. I'm looking to drop about 27 lbs and get down to 165 lbs. I'm only 5'7", so my "recommended" weight is like a buck-fifty... but I feel like I'd look pretty sickly (and feel pretty weak) at that weight! So, 27 lbs to go. So far, it doesn't suck TOO bad... but I'm sure missing my occasional burger and fries :)
